1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 ½ cups milk

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons melted butter (plus extra for cooking)

Pinch of salt

Optional toppings: fresh berries, whipped cream, maple syrup, or Nutella

Instructions
 

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, melted butter, and salt until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, which helps create a tender crepe.

    Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat and melt a small amount of butter to coat the pan.

      Pour in about ¼ cup of the batter while tilting the pan to ensure it spreads evenly into a thin layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the edges start to lift and the bottom is lightly golden.

        Carefully flip the crepe with a spatula and cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute until the second side is set. Transfer the crepe to a plate and cover with a clean kitchen towel to keep warm.

          Repeat this process until all the batter is used up, adding more butter to the pan as necessary.
