Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated croissant dough (8 oz)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 egg (for egg wash)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Dough: Unroll the refrigerated croissant dough on a clean surface and separate the triangles.

Layer Ingredients: On the wide end of each triangle, layer 1 tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese and a few slices of pepperoni. Sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning and a dash of sea salt and black pepper on top.

Roll Croissants: Starting from the wide end, gently roll each triangle towards the pointed end, creating a croissant shape. Ensure the filling stays inside.

Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush a thin layer over each croissant roll for a golden finish.

Drizzle Olive Oil: Lightly drizzle olive oil over the rolled croissants for extra flavor.

Bake: Place the filled rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.

Serve: Remove from the oven, let them cool slightly, and serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
