Ingredients

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 cup buttermilk

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp mustard (Dijon or yellow)

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, mix buttermilk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken thighs, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for better flavor.

Prepare the Honey Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan over low heat, combine melted butter, honey, mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until well combined and slightly thickened, then remove from heat and set aside.

Bread the Chicken: In a shallow dish, place the flour. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess liquid drip off, then coat each piece in flour, pressing gently to adhere.

Fry the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken thighs and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and fully cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Glaze the Chicken: While the chicken is still warm, drizzle the prepared honey butter sauce over each piece, ensuring they are well-coated. You can also toss the chicken in the sauce for an even distribution.

Serve: Plate the honey butter chicken and garnish with chopped parsley for a pop of color. Serve with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
