Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup sliced black olives

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

Salsa and sour cream for dipping

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or turkey. Break it up with a spatula and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Season the Meat: Stir in the taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and a splash of water (about 2 tablespoons). Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring to combine. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Pinch the seams together to form a solid rectangle.

Assemble the Sticks: Spread the cooked meat evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses, diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions over the meat.

Roll It Up: Starting from one side, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log. Once you reach the end, pinch the edges to seal.

Cut the Sticks: Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into 1-inch thick sticks and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush and Bake: Brush each stick with olive oil to help them brown. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
