Ingredients

4 slices sourdough bread

8 oz turkey breast (slices)

4 slices sharp cheddar cheese

4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp butter, softened

Fresh spinach leaves (optional for added crunch)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Spreads: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Sandwich: Lay out the sourdough slices on a clean surface. Spread the mayonnaise mixture evenly on one side of each slice.

Layer Ingredients: On two of the slices (the side with the spread), layer the turkey breast followed by the crumbled bacon. Place two slices of cheddar cheese on top, and if desired, add a small handful of fresh spinach for extra texture. Top with the remaining slices of sourdough, spread side down.

Butter the Outside: Spread a thin layer of softened butter on the outer sides of each sandwich to ensure a golden crust when grilled.

Grill the Sandwich: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is toasted golden brown and the cheese has melted.

Serve: Remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then slice in half and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or a side of chips.
