2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)

1 large apple, peeled, cored, and diced (Fuji or Honeycrisp work well)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Additional apple slices and nuts for topping (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking dish or a similarly sized oven-safe dish.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, diced apple, brown sugar, applesauce, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
