Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80% lean)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

4 hamburger buns

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 large tomato, sliced

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 cup pimento cheese (store-bought or homemade)

Olive oil for grilling

Instructions

Prepare the Pimento Cheese (if making homemade): In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup cream cheese (softened), 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup diced pimentos, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and salt to taste. Mix until smooth and well combined. Set aside.

Make the Burger Patties: In a bowl, gently combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into four equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing while cooking.

Preheat the Grill: If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Cook the Burgers: Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or longer to reach your desired doneness.

Toast the Buns: While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill until golden brown.

Assemble the Burgers: Spread a generous amount of pimento cheese on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the grilled burger patty on top, then add shredded lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion slices. Finish with the top half of the bun.

Serve: Enjoy your Southern charm burgers with pimento cheese immediately, alongside your favorite sides!
