Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated croissant dough

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup cherry pie filling (or fresh cherries chopped)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Optional: extra powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Prepare the cream cheese filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Roll out the dough: Open the can of croissant dough and unroll it onto a flat surface. Press the seams together gently to seal any openings.

Cut the dough: There should be a triangle shape for each croissant. For larger croissants, you can cut them into larger triangles.

Fill the croissants: Spread a generous spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on the wider end of each triangle, followed by a small spoonful of cherry pie filling. Be careful not to overfill, as this can make them difficult to roll.

Roll the croissants: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll each triangle up towards the point. Tuck the point underneath and shape into a crescent.

Prepare the egg wash: In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Brush a light coating of this mixture over each croissant to give them a nice golden finish.

Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cook the croissants: Place the croissants in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching. Cook them at 320°F (160°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up. You may need to do this in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.

Cool and serve: Once done, remove the croissants and let them cool slightly. If desired, dust with extra powdered sugar before serving.

Enjoy your treat: Serve warm and enjoy the delightful combination of creamy cheese and sweet cherries wrapped in flaky croissant dough!
